Sport Belt - iP7 - Low Inventory, Call for Availability

Quality product - loved the first one so much I bought another.

I got this belt to replace another one I have. To understand this review, it helps to understand my experience with the other one.

The one I wanted to replace is just a black sleeve. You slide the phone in and it grips it tightly. It stays secure it doesn't impede my walking or jogging. Because there is no window, like on the Tune Belt, it leaves me without access to the screen, or any buttons. I have a distance app I use to time my miles. Because it takes a bit to get the phone into the belt, and there is no window, I need to use the countdown feature (30 seconds) to slide it in before it hits 0. Often I would accidentally hit the volume button (to off) while pushing it in, but having my earbud allowed me to turn it back up.

I went looking for something like it, with a window, and button access. I ordered the Tune Belt. It's nicer than the one I had. The phone is secure. The belt adjustable. It's easier to slide in. There is a loop at the top that kind of gets in the way, but isn't that hard to move to the side. I think it is meant to secure the phone, but the velcro does that nicely, so I am not clear if it is needed. There as a little velcro pouch on the back that I have not used yet. The clear film does allow me to use the touch screen. The power button, though not exposed, is easy to press through the foam sides. I presume the reason it is not exposed is to prevent accidentally pressing it while moving. The volume buttons are likewise covered. As I said: earbuds, so I don't need those buttons.

For those who need them, the lightning and headphone ports (if you still have those) are exposed. I don't use these during exercise, so no feedback on them.

The glitch. Although I can see it under the film, I can't, for the life of me, successfully press the home button. Pressing it harder, deeper, slamming it, etc. don't work. I think there just isn't enough "give" in the plastic, so the button can't click. That means that, even though I could use the touch screen, I can't minimize one app for another. So I can't successfully move from music to the radio (for example), or from the distance app to spotify, without taking out the phone. This dramatically reduces the utility of having the touch screen available. If this were fixed, this product would be a 5.

Outstanding product. I have only two criticisms.
First, the transparent screen does not work as a touch screen.
Second, the Velcro closure to keep the phone inside is on the side, not the top. Under the Velcro there’s also a kind of retention strap sewn in, like a backup. I’ve run with it several times and had no problems, but it still makes me a little nervous. I wish the closure were a secure snap closure.
The pocket on the other side of the phone pocket is pretty good for carrying an ID, a credit card or cash, and one or two keys without a key ring. With a key ring it would be too bulky against your back and might even fall out.

I use this on a daily bssus when I bike on the road and mountain bike. Fits great with the body, is durable, and water resistant. I can't be without it.

Recently purchased LG V60 and have Supcase Unicorn Pro case on will not completely close in largest arm nor this item. Will have to come up with an alternative because I use it along with my running app. Other than that, Tune Belt/Sport Belt are the best products out there.

Hi Kenneth - thanks for your note! Have you tried the IP6? That is our largest sport belt and might be the better option.

I didn't like the feel of armbands, and I didn't want a belt clip, so I was at a loss for having my cell phone during a run. This belt did the trick! I can keep my phone in the belt, put my keys in the little pouch, and go! It is lightweight and adjusts to the waist size you need. Highly recommend!
